Sandy started playing squash in Scotstoun Leisure Centre at 10 years old and competed in the Scottish Squash competition circuit throughout his junior squash years.

One of Sandy’s highlights so far is captaining the West of Scotland U17 team to victory at the 2017 Scottish Inter-Regional Team Championships! He is the current men’s club champion at the Scotstoun Eagles Squash Club and is now playing in either 1st or 2nd position for the club’s first team in Division one of the West of Scotland Squash Leagues. Sandy has also represented Strathclyde University in the British University League, and competes in senior tournaments around Scotland.
Now a qualified Scottish Squash Level 2 coach, Sandy has been coaching since 2019 and combines coaching with his university studies. He coaches on both the junior and adult coaching programme at the Western Health and Rackets Club, as well as Scotstoun Leisure Centre, where he runs sessions for beginners through to advanced players.
