We are looking forward to welcoming you to Summer camp 2021! The camp runs daily Mon – Friday from 10 am to 2 pm

Drop off/ Pick up for camp – OUTDOORS
We ask that you respect this by not bringing the children before 9:55 am and collecting them by 2:00 pm.
The courts are busier than they were in previous years with a strict court booking system in place. Please drop off and pick up at the gazebo area next to Court 1. A coach will be present to sign in the children but PLEASE NOTE payment must be done in advance via BACs to secure place. No payments on the week itself.
Format of the week
Each day the children will participate in tennis activities and sample a variety of other sports and games. The aim of the camps is for the children to enjoy themselves and learn through play.
Throughout the week, all the coaches will emphasise our values of ENJOYMENT – EFFORT – RESPECT.
Wacky Wednesday
Each week we have a themed day on a Wednesday and prizes for best effort in these categories. The coaches help the players with ideas in the Mon/ Tues lead up.

Week 1: Wimbledon Whites – wear all whites and tell us who you are supporting at Wimbledon
Week 2: Wimbledon Whites – wear all whites and tell us who you are supporting at Wimbledon
Week 3: Wacky Head Day – wear a wig, spray your hair, style your hair, wear face paint etc
Week 4: Sportsmanship Day – design a poster to reflect what good sportsmanship is. Coaches will help their groups with ideas in the lead up.
Week 5: Western Wednesday – dress up on a Western theme: impersonate your favourite coach, dress up as a waiter from caffe parma, mimic the colour of the courts with an all red outfit…
Week 6: Sport Star Day – dress in the theme of your favourite sport or sports star
Week 7: Around the world Wednesday – dress in the colours of a country and let’s play your favourite camp games today.
Pizza Friday
We have pizza on Fridays from Caffe Parma and the children should bring £4.50 on Thursday if they wish to book their pizza for the Friday.
Other fun activities e.g. water fights, treasure hunts etc
We adapt week to week to the weather and the children we have in front of us
Drinks/ packed lunches/ sun cream etc
PLEASE ensure your child has a refillable bottle with them as we don’t have access to glasses.
There is NO tuck shop. Please bring ALL drinks, snacks and packed lunch. We encourage healthy packed lunches and the coaches will chat to the children about this as the week goes on.
Social Media
We will assume consent for photographs to be taken and put on our club Facebook pages/ twitter accounts (see below) unless we hear otherwise.
Lost Property
Please ask the coaches if you lose anything during the week.
Electronic Devices
We kindly ask you to remind the children that we do not permit electronic devices to be out between 10 am and 2 pm. There are a multitude of reasons for this and it would be great if you can support us on this as the coaches will remind the children to put the devices away if they see them out during the day. We also ask that if the children have a problem, they speak to one of the coaches first. We have instances of the children texting parents from the camp and this causes us problems. Ideally the children would have devices on them for emergencies only.

So, with squash on ice and a lot of spare time on my hands over lockdown, I had the idea to make a quiz for squash players – and ended up with the Squashbrain quiz! Hopefully it will entertain and give squash players a wee challenge to see how much they know about squash!
